Meet the Team

Mark Gorbett

Office Manager

As Dessaray’s brother and Kevin’s brother-in-law, joining the team at District Dental of Jasper has made the practice a true family affair. As office manager, I primarily handle insurance and billing while helping the team with whatever they need to keep the office running smoothly.

Originally from southern New Mexico, I served for four years as a weather forecaster in the U.S. Air Force. Much of that time was spent in Hawaii, forecasting conditions for air bases and military installations throughout the Pacific. After leaving the Air Force, I earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in urban planning from Wayne State University. I then worked as a city planner for several municipalities, including the City of Detroit, before Dessaray and Kevin invited me to join their dental practice.

Outside the office, you’ll often find me exploring the bars and restaurants around Fountain Square in Indianapolis, where I live.

Jennifer Koedyker

Hygienist

With 34 years of experience as a dental hygienist, my career began at Indiana State University before continuing my dental education at Indiana University Northwest. Originally from Crown Point near Lakes of the Four Seasons, I have called Kouts home for the past 24 years. My husband and I have been married for 36 years, and we have two grown children and a golden retriever.

Outside the office, I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. The most rewarding part of dental hygiene is getting to know patients and helping improve both their oral health and confidence in their smiles. My interest in dentistry began in third grade after getting braces, which I wore for five years. I decided to become a hygienist after seeing mine arrive at work in a bright red sports car! I’m still waiting on the sports car, but the wonderful coworkers and patients I’ve met have more than made up for it!

Kevin Cash

Dentist

Dr. Kevin Cash is proud to call Indiana home. A Crown Point native, Dr. Cash completed his undergraduate studies at Wabash College before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry.

To fund his dental education, Dr. Cash honorably served in the United States Military for four years, including a nine-month deployment to the Middle East, with postings in Georgia and El Paso, Texas. His time in the military instilled in him a deep commitment to service, which is a value he carries into his dental practice every day. It was also during his service that he met his wife, Dessaray.

Dr. Cash is excited to serve the Rensselaer community, where he is dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. He believes every patient deserves to feel comfortable, well-informed, and confident in their smile.

When he's not in the office, Dr. Cash enjoys being an active member of the community he is grateful to call home.

Dessaray Gorbett

Staff Support

I’m Dessaray, and I help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes at District Dental of Jasper. As Dr. Kevin Cash’s wife, I support the team by managing payroll and handling a variety of administrative and day-to-day responsibilities around the office.

Originally from a small town in New Mexico, I have always valued a strong sense of community and the close, family atmosphere that comes with it. Kevin and I even convinced my brother, Mark, to move here and help us manage the practice, making District Dental of Jasper a truly family-run office.

Since moving to Indiana, I’ve learned to appreciate experiencing all four seasons—most of the time—but I still miss the warmth and sunshine of New Mexico. I love being part of a practice where patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely cared for, and I’m grateful to work alongside such a wonderful team.

Melissa Pass

Office Manager

Originally from Lake Village, Indiana, I have been married to my husband, Kevin, for 19 years. We have two wonderful children: Brody, who is 17 and a high school senior, and Kyleigh, who is 15 and a freshman. Much of my time outside the office is spent supporting their activities, whether I’m cheering from the sidelines at sporting events or watching them show their livestock. I also enjoy spending time with family, following all kinds of sports, and cheering on Notre Dame.

My favorite part of working in dentistry is interacting with patients and getting to know them personally. Although I primarily work in the front office, I enjoy stepping into the treatment rooms whenever an extra hand is needed. Every day brings something new, and that variety is one of the things I enjoy most about being part of the dental team.

Paige Smith

Hygienist

As a lifelong resident of Jasper County, I love small-town life and look forward to raising a family here one day. I grew up in DeMotte and graduated from Kankakee Valley High School in 2015. After graduation, I attended Indiana University Northwest in Gary, earning my bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2019.

My high school sweetheart and I were married on September 20, 2025, at The Highland Barn in Rensselaer, and we now live in our first home in Wheatfield. While we don’t have children yet, we share our home with three much-loved cats: Sylvester, Simon, and Smoki. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Working in dentistry is incredibly rewarding because it allows me to meet new people every day, build meaningful relationships with patients, and make a positive difference in their oral and overall health.

Reese Fox

Dental Assistant

I grew up in Morocco, Indiana, and graduated from North Newton High School in 2020. After high school, I completed my dental assisting training in 2022 and became certified as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) in March 2025. I continue to further my dental education to expand my skills and knowledge.

Being a dental assistant is incredibly rewarding, especially when I can help patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smiles. Working alongside my sister, who is also a dental assistant at the practice, makes the experience even more meaningful.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My high school sweetheart and I are getting married this September, and I couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter together!

Rylee Fox

Dental Assistant

I grew up in Morocco, Indiana, and graduated from North Newton High School in 2024. Shortly afterward, I earned my dental assisting certification from St. John Dental Assisting School and joined the team. My interest in dentistry was inspired by my older sister, Reese, who is also a dental assistant at the practice.

One of my favorite parts of dental assisting is being involved in the variety of procedures that take place each day. I enjoy learning new skills, gaining hands-on experience, and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. Working with Dr. Cash has given me a wonderful opportunity to grow professionally while being part of a supportive team.

Outside the office, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family. My favorite color is pink, and one day I hope to have my dream dog—a miniature dapple dachshund!
